Our lovely restaurant, The Table at De Meye, is owned and run by chef couple Brendan Thorncroft and Leigh Williamson.

The Table offers an expression of a love for good food, fresh produce and wonderful company. The experience is all about the simple pleasure of sitting down to a beautifully cooked meal with family and friends, whilst enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of our hidden-away country estate.

You will never eat the same meal twice at The Table. Each week our chefs visit local farms and suppliers and base the set, 3-course menu on what fresh produce is available. The food is served on dishes and platters in the centre of the table, where guests serve themselves.

You will find that our restaurant’s atmosphere adapts according to the season. In summer- guests will experience long, lazy lunches on the lawns under shady oak trees- chatting, laughing, and drinking wine. In winter- hearty, comforting winter dishes await you, served in our historic white washed farm building, warmed by a crackling fire place.

Nothing beats a lunch in the cape wine lands-especially when the food is fantastic. We were a large family group totaling some 30 people. The service was on point. Each course was a taste sensation preceded by a description of where and when each component was sourced.

It’s a must visit. The beef chuck was a surprise- how could it be that good. The courses also catered for the vegetarians in the party. The farms wines are also well worth taste before hand. Will be back

Our table was laid out under magnificent old oaks. It was set simply with vintage tableware. Leigh described each dish as it arrived, family style. She took great pride in explaining that all the producers are local and within a very limited radius of the venue.

The food was spectacular. Each course simply presented and the fusion of flavours reflects the masterful and considered approach by the chef, Brendan.

We have been going to Table at De Meye since it opened as a pop up restaurant. The new owners Leigh and Brendan are doing an amazing job and have wisely kept the same formula. The meal is basically a set three course menu.

We started with figs and Gorgonzola, followed by roast neck of lamb, then fruit mousse desert. The quality of the food was superb! The relaxed ambiance under the trees is amazing.

Took a chance booking on a Friday evening for Saturday lunch and great was my surprise that we could reserve a table even when they had two functions! From the minute we walked in until leaving with happy, full bellies (and swan bags), we were treated like old friends.

The elegant ‘boerekos’ with a twist was so tasty, I’ll be bringing more friends and family, for sure.

We visited for lunch at the Table. After being welcomed by the most incredible hostess and seated amongst a beautiful vineyard, we were treated to a fabulous 3 course meal. We had only heard incredible views about this restaurant and it lived up to every review.

If you are looking for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting, this is the right place to be. You can taste the experience and love with every bite. I can highly recommend this place.
