Tucked away in Muldersvlei on the famous Stellenbosch Wine Route, De Meye Estate is a family-owned winery with roots running deep into South Africa’s most celebrated winemaking region. For five generations, the Myburgh family has farmed this land, nurturing both the soil and a legacy of authenticity and craftsmanship.

De Meye Estate is a family-owned winery, situated in Muldersvlei on the Stellenbosch Wine Route, arguably South Africa’s most prestigious winemaking region. The Myburgh family has been farming in this area for five generations.

We aim to make great wine that people can enjoy sharing on and off the estate. The Table Restaurant offers delicious meals made from locally sourced ingredients.

One Bottle at a Time

The vines growing on De Meye farm have been carefully selected to suit the unique terroir of the area. The red varietals grown include Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz while Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc make up our white varietals.

The farm is 100ha in size and holds the winery, cellar and storage. The whole process from the vineyards to the cellar and further to sales and exports is handled inhouse and by doing this we can ensure the high quality and authenticity that distinguishes De Meye.
